NEVADA LADY TIGERS STAY UNBEATEN IN BIG 8 WEST PLAY WITH WIN OVER LAMAR

The Nevada Lady Tigers picked up their tenth win of the year and remained unbeaten in Big 8 West play with a 57-31 win Tuesday night over the Lamar Lady Tigers at Wynn Gymnasium.

Clara Swearingen led three Neavda players in double figures with 20 points as the Lady Tigers improved to 10-3 overall and are 3-0 halfway through conference play.

Maddy Majors also reached double figures with 14 points while Abbey Heathman chipped in with 10 points.

Nevada raced to a 15-5 lead by the end of the first quarter and had control by halftime with a 30-12 advantage at the break.

Lamar fell to 5-7 on the season and 1-1 in league play and were led by Ashlyn Stettler with 8 points.

Nevada will take a break from game action and won't return to the court until Tuesday, January 18th when they host the Seneca Lady Indians in a Big 8 West showdown.
