MIZZOU USES BIG SECOND HALF TO BEAT DELTA DEVILS

The Missouri Tigers used a strong second half to pull away from Mississippi Valley State and defeated the Delta Devils 83-62 Sunday night at Mizzou Arena.

After leading by three at halftime, 40-37, the Tigers limited Mississippi Valley State to just seven points over the final 27 minutes of the contest.

Mizzou had four players in double figures led by D'Moi Hodge and Isiaih Mosley with 18 points each while DeAndre Gholston had 13 and Nick Honor chipped in with 10.

The Delta Devils Terry Collins had 20 points in the first 12 minutes of the game and led all scorers with 27 points but Mississippi Valley State fell to 1-5. Tiger head coach Dennis Gates says the team made adjustments to slow down Collins.

Missouri, now 5-0, will have a pre-Thanksgiving contest Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena when they host Coastal Carolina at 6:00 p.m.
