CARDINALS WIN ON HIT BY PITCH

Andrew Knizner scored after Tyler O'Neil was hit by a pitch in the ninth as the Cardinals edged the Rockies 5-4 in St. Louis.

Paul Goldschmidt hit his 29th home run of the season for St. Louis. Tommy Edman also homered for the Cardinals. St. Louis improves to 64-51 and hold a two-game lead over Milwaukee in the NL Central. Charlie Blackmon drove in three runs for the Rockies. Colorado falls to 51-67.

The two teams match up for game two of the three-game set Wednesday. First pitch from Jordan Montgomery is set for 6:45 p.m. Cardinal Network coverage will begin at 5:50 on KNEM and KNMO.
