ROYALS HEAD HOME FOLLOWING 4-1 LOSS AT CHICAGO

The Kanas City Royals dropped their series against the White Sox after a 4-1 loss in the final game of a three game series Wednesday afternoon in Chicago.

Lance Lynn got the win pitching six innings while giving up one earned run on four hits with eight strikeouts. The Royals were held hitless after Lynn was relieved in the seventh inning.

Bobby Witt, Jr. hit a homer for Kansas City off Lynn in the sixth inning for his 15th of the year. Michael Massey was two for three with a pair of singles.

Brady Singer was charged with all four runs on the mound for the Royals surrendering eleven hits over six innings as the lefthander fell to 4-4. Kansas City manager, Mike Matheny, says they had their chances.

After dropping two out of three against the White Sox, the Royals will try and bounce back Thursday night as they host the Boston Red Sox in the start of a four-game series at Kauffman Stadium at 7:10 p.m.
