ROYALS TOP OHTANI AND ANGELS IN EXTRA INNINGS

Bobby Witt Jr. launched a pair of home runs as the Royals edged the Angels 12-11 in 11 innings in Anaheim. Witt helped grow the lead for Kansas City with his two-run homer in the top of the ninth, but Shohei Ohtani saved the Angels in the bottom of the frame with a game-tying three-run blast. Dylan Coleman picked up the win in relief, while Daniel Mengden notched his first save. The Royals improved to 25-42. Ohtani had thee hits, two home runs and eight RBI in the losing effort.
