
NEVADA SEEDED 3RD AT DISTRICT BASEBALL TOURNEY, WRAP UP REGULAR SEASON FRIDAY VS FORT SCOTT

The coaches in the five team district gathered Thursday night to determine the seeding order for the tournament that begins on Monday.
Nevada, at 15-6, received the number three seed behind top seeded Summit Christian Academy of Kansas City (20-2-1) and number two Pleasant Hill (21-1).
The Clinton Cardinals (8-16) came in at number four and the host Harrisonville Wildcats (4-15) rounded out the field as the fifth seed.
Clinton and Harrisonville will play Monday to determine who will face top seeded Summit Christian on Tuesday while the other Tuesday semifinal will pit Nevada against Pleasant Hill. The official bracket has yet to be posted, but Tiger head coach Danny Penn says he expects to play at about 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night at Harrisonville.
Nevada is scheduled to wrap up the regular season Friday afternoon when they host the Fort Scott Tigers at Lyons Stadium. The game is a makeup date after being rained out on May 2nd.
Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. Coverage will start at 4:10 p.m. on 99.9 FM, AM 1240, KNEM, the audio stream at knemknmo.com and with video coverage on nevadamotv.com.
The junior varsity teams for Nevada and Fort Scott will play Friday at the LaRoche Baseball Complex south of Fort Scott starting at 12:30 p.m.
