PITTSBURG MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT, ROBBERY

A Pittsburg, Kansas man is behind bars following an alleged home invasion. Pittsburg Police Officers were called to the 900 block of East 8th Street just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday for a robbery.
Police found a 62 year old resident that reported a male acquaintance had forced his way inside her residence, struck her several times in the head, took her wallet, and broke her phone before fleeing.
Officers later arrested 49 year old Gilbert Larson at a residence in the 900 block of East 9th Street on charges of aggravated robbery, battery, misdemeanor theft, and felony criminal damage. Larson is being held in Crawford County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
