ARREST MADE IN CONNECTION WITH A NEVADA HOMICIDE IN JUNE

A Nevada man faces murder charges after being arrested Thursday in connection with a homicide dating back to this past June.

According to a release from the Nevada Police Department, 47 year old James D. Jackson of Nevada has been arrested and charged with a Class A Felony of 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the death of 34 year old Neal Clark of Nevada.

On June 14th of last year, officers responded to the report of an unresponsive male subject in the 1000 block of N. Clay St. in Nevada. The individual, identified as Clark, was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center was he was later pronounced dead.

In November, the Jackson County medical examiner's office determined Neal's cause of death was due to injuries sustained from an assailant and ruled the death as a homicide.

Jackson is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail without bond.
