Two Vernon County teams took first in the 4-H State Livestock Judging Contest.

In the senior team division, the Vernon County team of Mason Forkner, Brayden Gast, Cole Burch, and Ryan McInroy took first place, in group competition held in Columbia September 10th.

Brayden Gast placed first in individual competition. Cole Burch finished in 7th and Mason Forkner 9th

Vernon County also took top honors as a team in the junior division of ages 8-13. Corbin Neil placed first individually, with Olivia Walrod placing 10th.

Among top ten individual competitors between ages 8-10, Clinton County’s Kade Jackson took top honors. Vernon County’s Korbin Walrod took third.
