It's only a week until we celebrate 4th of July with Stars and Stripes Forever in one area town.

On Wednesday, June 29th, Rich Hill begins their six-day long celebration with a Freedom 5K Color Fun Run at 7th and Park at 8:00 p.m.

Friday the 1st is famous for the pie auction, says Platt and Billy Humble.

The pie contest is held at the Methodist Church basement. Saturday features a free concert by Joe Nichols at 8:00 p.m., while Monday is July 4th. The car show starts the day at noon until 2:00 p.m., with same day registration.

No registration fee is need for the parade, which takes place following the car show.

The carnival will run from June 30th through July 4th as well, with talent contests, sand volleyball, and street dances throughout the week. To support the celebration, fireworks sales will be sold at the former Lion's Club building at 5th and Park Avenue. For the full conversation, check the Double K Country podcast.
