The regular May meeting of the Nevada R-V Board of Education on Wednesday went by in familiar and usual fashion.
After approving the consent agenda, including renewal of American Rescue Plan was approved by a 5-0 vote, five Missouri School Boards Association policies were presented by Superintendent Tyson Beshore. Mandatory policies included modification of their current seclusion and restraint policy and the EBBC Lactation Support policy. Also included were policies for Victims' Economic Safety and Security Act Leave for both full time and support staff. MSBA also revised their policy on corporal punishment and the Board noted they do not use corporal punishment in the district. The board approved the five policies 5-0.
In closed session, 11 employment actions for various roles were approved on unanimous 5-0 vote.
