FORT SCOTT SCHOOLS HOSTING SECOND SUPERINTENDENT CANDIDATE THURSDAY

Date: May 12, 2022, 1:21 pm

Fort Scott United School District 234 will be hosting a second Superintendent candidate meet and greet and interview session Thursday.

Pam Stranathan is the second of two candidates who will tour the district this week. Stranathan is a former Superintendent of Gardner-Edgerton Schools. After meeting with staff and touring the district, her visit will include meet and greet sessions with staff and the community at the Fort Scott Middle School Community Space from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and also from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. A formal interview with Mrs. Stranathan and the board in executive session will follow dinner in the evening.

A previous interview and meet and greet day was held Tuesday for Destry Brown, current Superintendent of Clinton, Missouri Schools. In late April, the school district had received over 700 survey responses on desired future Superintendent characteristics to help select the two candidates. Tonight will be the final interview session before the board of education will determine the best fit for the superintendent.
