VIRTUAL HEARINGS ON EVERGY MISSOURI WEST ELECTRIC RATES COMING IN AUGUST

Evergy Missouri West and Evergy Missouri Metro may increase electric rates.

In August the Public Service Commission of Missouri will be holding virtual hearings to discuss the rate increase cases that were filed back in January by Evergy Missouri Metro and Evergy Missouri West.

Anyone who wants to take part in the hearing needs to pre-register at pscinfo@psc.mo.gov

Comments about the rate increases can be sent electronically or by mail. The hearings can be attended by telephone conference or online.

These hearings will take place over a 3 day period. On August 8th the hearings are at noon and 6pm for Evergy Missouri Metro Customers. On August 9th the hearings are at noon and 6pm for Evergy Missouri West Customers. And on August 10th there is a hearing at noon for customers in either of the service areas.

The rates could increase by eight to ten dollars depending on the usage area

Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 347,400 customers in Missouri counties including, Barton, Bates, Benton, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade,St. Clair, and Vernon.
