BRIDGE REPLACEMENT TO AFFECT TRAVEL SOUTH OF NEVADA

Date: May 11, 2022, 4:59 pm

Travelers south of Nevada may be seeing delays.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation Southwest District, Southbound I-49 traffice will be shifted head-to-head in the northbound lanes of I-49 between Mile Markers 98 and 100 over the Missouri & Northern Arkansas (MNA) Railroad while crews work to replace the southbound bridge. Only one lane will be open in each direction, with speed limit reduced to 60 miles per hour through the work zone. There will be no signed detours; delays are to be expected during high traffic volume times. Drivers should consider alternate routes during the project. There is no set end date to the project.
