Photo of Mike HarbitMike Harbit is the Owner & General Manager of KNEM/KNMO-FM Radio.  Mike has been actively on the air since 1981 while attending Northwest Missouri State University. While there he did the radio play-by-play for NWMSU athletics. After graduating with a degree in broadcasting, Mike moved on to Warrensburg, Missouri and was the radio voice of the Central Missouri State University Mules. After time spent freelancing in motorsports work, he journeyed to KNEM/KNMO in Nevada in 1987 as News/Sports Director which eventually led to a sales position and then to ownership. Mike still works actively on the air doing the morning show from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and radio play-by-play for Nevada High School athletics. Mike also spends time on the microphone outside of the radio station having done motorsports announcing work since the late 1980’s.  He currently serves as the track announcer at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS. Noel Connet joined KNEM/KNMO-FM Radio in November, 2017.  Noel now serves as our Program Director and is on the air from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  He’s also the current host of the “Trader Program”.  Noel has been in radio since 1993 starting as an intern at the former 61 Country in Kansas City.  He’s also worked at radio stations in Butler and Ft. Scott as an on-air talent and in commerical production.  Besides time with his three daughters, Noel as enjoys fishing, has a huge garden each year and loves to paint landscapes with oils.  Noel can be reached by e-mail at noel@knemknmo.com.

Production Director/On-Air Talent, EJ Day, grew up in the Kansas City area & has called southwest Missouri home since his high school days where he played football & powerlifted for another team of Tigers.  Although EJ has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, it wasn’t until he started a mobile DJ business that the seed was planted to be in radio.  EJ’s radio career started in 2012 in southwest Missouri.  In 2017 EJ’s radio career took him to NE Oklahoma where he created the DAYly Thought & added commercial production to his resume.  After a year of behind the scenes television work, EJ began his career at KNEM/KNMO in Oct 2021.  “Double K Country is a good fit for me.  It’s a professional atmosphere but it’s also a family.  I can’t wait each day to see what new challenges await.”  EJ enjoys spending time with his wife of 18 years & his daughter who is a high school sophomore.  He is a fan of the Royals, Chiefs, & Razorbacks.  Besides country music, EJ’s iPod is filled with classic rock & blues rock.  And most nights after work, you’ll find EJ at the gym lifting weights.

Derek Campbell PhotoNews Director, Derek Campbell, is originally from Lone Jack, MO but have been a native to the Kansas City area his whole life. Derek joined KNEM/KNMO-FM in August of 2021.  He began his broadcasting career while attending college at Northwest Missouri State University and graduated in May, 2021 with a Sports Media Degree. His broadcast career didn’t really start until he started doing news and  high school game broadcasts in the Nevada area at KNEM/KNMO. He is a huge Kansas City sports team fan, especially the Kansas City Royals.  His Twitter handle is @dscampbell98 if people want to get to know him better.

Photo of Bill FlemingBill Fleming does not have an on-air presence, however, he’s responsible for much of what goes on-air as a Marketing Consultant. Bill is responsible for the day to day contact with KNEM/KNMO’s vast array of advertising clients in Nevada, Lamar, El Dorado Springs and points in between.  Bill is also our “go to guy” for all of the Branson attractions that you see or hear about on the “Nevada Big Deals”.  He works with each advertiser from start to finish on ads promoting their products and services. Another valuable member of the staff is Marketing Consultant Jae Miller. Jae is responsible for assisting businesses with their marketing efforts as well. Jae primarily works in Nevada, Fort Scott, Rich Hill and Butler. She is able to show businesses the best ways to make sure Double K Country listeners hear their message and the value of their products and services.
