Sondra Lynn Woody, Nevada, passed away Thursday, January 14, at Cox-South Hospital, Springfield. The 1972 Nevada High School graduate and owner of the Total Image Salon was 66. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and service plans are to be announced later. Memorials to the All Saints Episcopal Church are suggested.

Robert J. "Bob" Holt passed away Wednesday, January 13. The Lamar native and Sheriff's Deputy was 73. Arrangements are under direction of Konantz-Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, and a memorial service is scheduled at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, in the circuit courtroom of the Barton County Courthouse at Lamar.

Clarence Rogers Newby II, Nevada, passed away Thursday, January 14, at his home. The former employee at Peerless Products in Fort Scott was 61. Services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 18, at Ferry Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Adams officiating. Burial is to follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Walker, Mo. The family receives friends between seven and eight o'clock Sunday evening, January 17, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada.

Eugenia Luann (Newcomb) Denzer, formerly of Rich Hill, passed away Monday, January 11, at her home in Kansas City, Mo. She was 66. Arrangements are under direction of the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and a memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, at the Myrtle Tree Fellowship Church, 314 E. Myrtle Street in Rich Hill..

Esther Louise Christie, Nevada, passed away Sunday, January 10, in Joplin at the age of 93. A service is planned at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, in the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel, Nevada, with Pastor Jacob Jones of the Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Interment is planned in the Antioch Cemetery, North of Nevada.

David Owen Marshall, Nevada, passed away Wednesday, January 6, at the age of 73. A service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and interment followed in the Green Mound Cemetery at Harwood.

Carl Eugene Jungmann Sr., Carthage, passed away Sunday, January 10, in Joplin. The 1960 graduate of Lamar High School and owner of Robertson's Dairy was 78. Arrangements were under direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and a funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamar with burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemtery at Lamar. Memorials to the Disabled American Veterans were suggested.

Oliver Kenney, El Dorado Springs, passed away Sunday, January 10, at the age of 93. A service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs. Visitation was held prior to the service.

Carl W. Webb, El Dorado Springs, passed away Saturday, January 9, at the age of 80. Arrangements were under direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and a service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, at the Hazel Dell Missionary Baptist Church. Memorials to the the Hazel Dell Cemetery were suggested and can be made in care of the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Lloyd Elmer Pilcher, Jr., Nevada, passed away Sunday, December 20, at his home. He was 88. A memorial service is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada.

Erica Lynn (Tuomi) Grothaus, Mahtomedi, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, January 3. The 1989 Nevada High School graduate was 49. Arrangements are under direction of the Simonet Funeral Home, Stillwater, Mn., and a celebration of her life is to be scheduled when conditions allow a gathering of her family and friends. Memorials to the American Autoummune Related Diseases Association are suggested.

Richard Hermann "R-H" Brownsberger, Nevada, passed away Thursday, January 7, at his home. The former owner of H & R Auto Sales in Nevada was 86. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a "private family" Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, January 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nevada, with Father Peter Savidge officiating. Burial was planned in Newton Burial Park. Memorials either to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice were suggested.

Bertha May Wright, Milo, passed away Wednesday, January 6, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. The retired healthcare worker and Thorco employee was 80. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a memorial service is to be scheduled later.

Martha Sue Damon, Rockville, passed away Saturday, January 9, at the age of 80. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler and burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Charles Sumner, rural El Dorado Springs, passed away Thursday, January 7, at the age of 72. A service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and burial followed in the Mound Cemetery. Memorials to a fund for the family were suggested and can be made in care of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.

Scott Francis Vanskike, Nevada, passed away Wednesday, January 6, at his home. The 3M employee was 48. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Januay 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nevada. Memorials to a fund for the family were suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Francis Zoe Lewis, formerly Schell City, passed away Wednesday, January 6, at Sunrise of Overland Park, Overland Park, Ks. The former co-operator of Lewis & Son Hardware, Funeral Home and ambulance service was 92. A private burial is planned in the Green Lawn Cemetery at Schell City and plans for a memorial service are to be announced later by the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, Schell City.

Harold Douglas "Doug" McCarter passed away Thursday, January 7, at Freeman Hospital, Joplin. The retired Lamar teacher and computer repair business owner was 74. Arrangements were under direction of Konantz-Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, and his family received visitors between 10:00 a.m. and Noon Saturday, January 16, at the funeral home. A private service is to be scheduled later.

Mary Lou Pilcher, Sheldon, passed away Thursday, December 31, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 77. A service was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 11, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with a private interment tol follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Memorials to the American Diabetes association were suggested an can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Erbin Regar Todd, Jr., Nevada, passed away Monday, December 28, at his home. He was 73. A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, at Ferry Funeral Home with minister Rob Musick officiating.
