Obituaries

Richard Earl "Dick" Gulliford, Monett and formerly Moundville, passed away Wednesday, February 19. The Bronaugh High School graduate was 92. Arrangements are under direction of the Buchanen Funeral Home, Monett, and a graveside service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens at Springfield. Visitation is scheduled between six and seven o'clock Monday evening, February 24, at the Buchanen Funeral Home, Monett. Memorials to the American Heart Association are suggested.

Catherine Kern, Rich Hill, passed away Saturday, February 15, at Independence, Mo. She was 88. Arrangements were under direction of Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Rich Hill. Rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church and visitation followed. Burial was planned in the Green Lawn Cemetery at Rich Hill. Memorials either to St. Bridget's Church or the Kern Senior Center in Rich Hill are suggested and can be made in care of Heuser Funeral Home.

Merilee Kay Padgett, Joplin, passed away Friday, February 14, at Freeman Hospital. She was 68. A celebration of her life is to be scheduled later and burial is planned in the Osawatomie, Ks. Cemetery.

Benjamin Leo "Sonny" Carpenter, Pittsburg, Ks., passed away Thursday, February 6. The 1986 Butler High School graduate was 51. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a memorial service is to be scheduled later.
