Obituaries

Angela Phyllis Mosely passed away December 9th, 2020 at the age of 77. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and memorial services are planned at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, at All Saints Episcopal church, Nevada, with Father Jim Lile officiating. Memorials to Trinity Episcopal Church and Iron Gate, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and All Saints Episcopal, Nevada, are suggested.

Jerry William Burch, Walker, passed away Friday, June 11. The former Missouri State Representative and government consultant was 75. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at the United Methodist Church in Nevada and burial followed in Newton Burial Park. The family received friends between five and seven o'clock Wednesday evening, June 16, at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials either to the Schell City Alumni Scholarship, the Vernon County 4-H Grow program or the Vernon County Youth Fair were suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington Street, Nevada.

Helen Audree Lawson, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, June 15, at Moore-Few Care Center. She was 96. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, in Newton Burial Park.

Peggy Sue Greenlee, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, June 15, at Barone Care Center. She was 85. The family received friends between ten and eleven o'clock Saturday morning, June 19, at Ferry Funeral Home and a private graveside service followed in Newton Burial Park. Memorials to the Barone Care Center are suggested.

Miranda "Tin" Dahmer, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, June 15, at St. Luke's East Hospital, Lee's Summit. She was 76. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a celebration of life was held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Elks Lodge #564. Memorials to Vernon County Cancer Relief were suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.

Rufus L. Cobb, Fort Scott, passed away Wednesday, June 16, at his home. The truck driver was 70. Arrangements were under direction of the Midland Cremation Society, Joplin, Mo.

Tristan Ray Fillpot, Rich Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 9, at the age of 23. A family gathering was held between nine and nine-forty-five Tuesday morning, June 15, at the Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill and a graveside service followed at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, in the Papinsville Cemetery near Rockville.

Wilda Hall, El Dorado Springs, passed away Friday, June 11, at the age of 86. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs and burial followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation was held at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon, June 15, at the funeral home -- preceding the service.

Ralph "Jerry" Herren, Nevada, passed away Friday, June 11, at the age of 80. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Ferry 3uneral Home with Pastors Dennis Englebrecht and Jason Daniels officiating. Burial was planned in Newton Burlal Park, Nevada, and memorials to Heartland Hospice were suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Donald Edward Chadd, Sr., Rich Hill, passed away Sunday, June 13, at his home. The Milo native was 95.Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Ferry Funeral Home and burial followed in the Olive Branch Cemetery near Milo. The family received friends between six and seven-thirty Thursday evening, June 17, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington Street,

Edna D. Faith, El Dorado Springs, passed away Monday, June 14, at the age of 88. Arrangements are under direction of the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home and a graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17, in the Robinson Cemetery. Visitation started at ten o'clock Thursday morning, June 17, at the Cemetery, East of Collins, on Highway 54.

Mary Ruth Costley passed away Monday, June 14, at Cox-Barton County Hospital, Lamar. She was 93. A service was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar. Visitation was held between six and seven o'clock Thursday evening, June 17, at the funeral home and memorials to the building fund at the Oakton United Methodist Church were suggested.

Spencer Paul Matty, Salem, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 31, at teh age of 27. A funeral mass was held Monday, June 14, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village, Ar. and a graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, in the Lake Cemetery at Lamar -- under direction of the Daniel Funeral Home.

LaVon Posey, Nevada, passed away Wednesday, June 9. The retired registered nurse was 91. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a graveside service is planned at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials either to Heartland Hospice or the Nevada Animal Shelter are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Maxine Louderback, Lamar, passed away Friday, June 4, at the age of 73. A memorial service iwas held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar. Memorials either to the Good Samarian Shop or the Barton County Library were suggested and can be made in care of the Daniel Funeral Home.

Stephanie J. Clawson passed away Sunday, May 30, at the age of 62. Arrangements are under direction of the Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, and her family and friends are to remember her during a gathering Saturday. July 3, at her daughter's home in Lamar. Memorials to a fund to help with her medical expenses are suggested.

Floyd L. Snyder, West Richland, Washington, passed away Thursday, January 21. The Fort Scott, Kansas native and the brother of Eldred Snyder, Nevada, was 74. A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, in the Mapleton, Ks. Cemetery. Memorials either to the Shriners' Hospitals or Pets For Vets, Inc. were suggested.
