Obituaries

Keith Lynn Cooper, Rich Hill, passed away Saturday, May 23, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, at the age of 27. A memorial service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel, Butler. Visitation is planned between ten and eleven o'clock Friday morning, May 29, at the funeral home and memorials to the Diabetes Association are suggested.

Gary L. Badger, Walker, passed away Tuesday, May 26th. He was 71. Arrangments are under direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30th at the Church of God Holiness, El Dorado Springs. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 30th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church and burial will take place in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorials to the Badger family are suggested.

Jason John Stephen, Lamar, passed away Sunday, May 24th. He was 41. Arrangements are under direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and a memorial service is planned 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 1st at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Memorials to the Jason Stephen Family are suggested.

Della M. Douglas, Rich Hill, passed away Saturday, May 23rd, at Research Medical Center, in Kansas City, MO. She was 83. Arrangements are under direction of the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28th, at Salem Cemetery, Foster.

William Michael "Mike" Berry, Lamar, passed away Sunday, May 24th, at Carthage. The retired co-owner of Berry-Moore Furniture was 78. Arrangements are under direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and a service is scheduled 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29th, at the Lamar United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Lake Cemetery, Lamar, and memorials to Lamar United Methodist Church are suggested.

Sharon Faye Kunkel, Nevada, passed away Sunday, May 24th, following a lengthy illness. The 1969 Nevada High School graduate was 68. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 29th, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Schell City, with Pastor Dan Gayman officiating. Memorials to Vernon County Center Relief are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Carmen "Gaye" Baldwin, Nevada, passed away Sunday, May 24, at Moore-Few Care Center. The former co-owner of the Brophy Monument Company, Nevada, was 78. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a graveside service is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, in the Moore Cemetery. The family received friends between five-thirty and seven o'clock Tuesday evening, May 26, at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials to the Moore Cemetery Association are suggested.

Melva Lea Keithly, Nevada, passed away Saturday, March 28, at her home. The 1958 graduate of Nevada High School was 79. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a memorial service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at the funeral home with Chaplain Kenny Batson officiating and committa to follow in the Milo Cemetery. Memorials to Vernon County Cancer Relief are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Dr. Joseph Gregory Cole passed away Thursday, May 21, at Brandon, Mississippi. The 1980 graduate of Sheldon High School was 58. A graveside service was scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, in the Sheldon Cemetery. Memorials either to the Sheldon High School, the Harfield Academy or the Sheldon Cemetery Association are suggested. A memorial service also is scheduled Monday, June 1, at Brandon, Ms.

Ianeta "Neta" Olson, Walker, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 2. at her home. She was 68.Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Maple, Nevada, and a service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, at the funeral home.

Michelle Nason, Butler, passed away Sunday, May 24, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Mo. The Hume High School graduate was 36. A memorial service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Mullenax Funeral Home, Butler. Memorials to the activity fund at the Butler Medicalodge are suggested.

Margaret J. Dines passed away Monday, May 25, at the age of 73. Arrangements are under direction of the Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, and services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at the First Christian Church in Appleton City with Pastor David Hill officiating. Burial is to follow in the Taberville Cemetery. Memorials either to a fund for the family or Heartland Hospice are suggested.

Francis Whitton Stewart passed away Wednesday, May 20th at his home in Schell City. The former Allis-Chalmers Combine worker was 79. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Diamond Baptist Church in Diamond, MO.

Jacquelyn Joyce (Stites) Hardy, Sheldon, passed away Saturday, May 16th, at Freeman-West Hospital, Joplin. The Centralia, Mo. native was 89. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and visitation is scheduled between four and six o'clock Saturday evening, May 30, at the funeral home, 301 S. Washington Street.

Ellen Marie Norman, El Dorado Springs, passed away Tuesday, May 19, at the age of 90. Arrangements are under direction of the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and a graveside service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in the Hackleman Cemetery in Cedar County.
