Mike Harbit has been actively on the air since 1981 while attending Northwest Missouri State University. While there Mike did the radio play-by-play for NWMSU athletics. After graduating with a degree in broadcasting, Mike moved on to Warrensburg, Missouri and was the radio voice of the Central Missouri State University Mules. In 1987, he journeyed to KNEM/KNMO in Nevada as News/Sports Director which eventually led to a sales position and then to ownership. Mike still works actively on the air doing the morning show from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and radio play-by-play for Nevada High School athletics. Mike also spends time on the microphone outside of the radio station having done motorsports announcing work since the late 1980's.  He currently serves as the track announcer at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS. Carson Evans is our resident Texan. He began his career in Dallas, Texas, where he worked as an Air Personality, Producer, and Production Director for companies like CBS Radio, Criswell Communications, and Salem Communications. In 2011 Texas had a record breaking Summer, with over seventy 100 degree days and Carson realized, he was not a summer person and wanted to relocate to a place with a milder climate. (He often jokes that Texas only had two seasons...'summer' and 'not summer'.) Carson and his wife relocated to the Ozarks and eventually settled in Collins, where they live in the country. In 2015 Carson and his wife became licensed foster parents, taking in abused, neglected, and troubled children and teens giving them a safe, loving home. Currently they have two children they wish to adopt and are working towards that goal. As Production Director and Afternoon Personality, Carson is glad to be part of the Double K Country family and loves working with clients and interacting with listeners.  He can be reached at carson@knemknmo.com.
