KNEM / KNMO Personalities

Mike Harbit has been actively on the air since 1981 while attending Northwest Missouri State University. While there Mike did the radio play-by-play for NWMSU athletics. After graduating with a degree in broadcasting, Mike moved on to Warrensburg, Missouri and was the radio voice of the Central Missouri State University Mules. In 1987, he journeyed to KNEM/KNMO in Nevada as News/Sports Director which eventually led to a sales position and then to ownership. Mike still works actively on the air doing the morning show from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and radio play-by-play for Nevada High School athletics. Mike also spends time on the microphone outside of the radio station having done motorsports announcing work since the late 1980's.  He currently serves as the track announcer at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS. Sheena Dickey "Sheena" started at the KNEM/KNMO radio full time as the Music Director in June of 2006.    She is now the Program Director & on air personality from 8-Noon Monday – Friday.  From 11-Noon Monday – Friday, Sheena is the host of the Trader Program.  The Trader Program is a service that people can buy & sell items by calling the radio station.  The Trader Program is one of the most listened to radio programs in Vernon County.  She also have a vast array of music knowledge in all genres, but Country music is her favorite.  To contact Sheena Dickey call 417-667-3113 or email her at or on Twitter at @SheenaDickey1.


Chris Hacker began in radio during his senior year at the University of Missouri-Columbia serving as an intern for Premier Marketing Group.  After graduating from Mizzou with a B.A. in Communications in 2003, he moved back to Nevada in 2004 where he began working part-time at the station.  In 2005, Chris began full-time duties and has served as Production Director at the station for the past several years and early in 2010 added Operations Manager to his duties.  Chris can be heard in the afternoon’s from 1-6pm.  He's also added duties recently in our sports department doing play-by-play and color commentary on area game broadcasts.  He also does most of the technical work for NevadaMO TV.  You can reach him at

Tony Abati has been working on air since 2010. He began his career in sports as the voice of Middle Tennessee soccer and volleyball as a student at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, he has broadcasted several sporting events including the 2013 Conference USA Volleyball Championships and the 2016 Conference USA Track Championships. He was also a regular at the Tennessee Secondary School Athletics Association’s state football and basketball championships, broadcasting several high school games over a span of four years. In 2014 he joined the broadcast team for the Jackson Generals of Minor League Baseball’s Southern League, a Seattle Mariners affiliate. The Girard, Kansas native also worked on air part time at KOMB/KMDO in Fort Scott before joining KNEM/KNMO full time in November of 2016.  You can reach Tony at


Bill Fleming does not have an on-air presence, however, he's responsible for much of what goes on-air as an Account Executive. Bill is responsible for the day to day contact with KNEM/KNMO's vast array of advertising clients in Nevada, Lamar, Fort Scott and points in between.  Bill is also our "go to guy" for all of the Branson attractions that you hear about on the "Shopping Show".  He works with each advertiser from start to finish on ads promoting their products and services. Another valuable member of the staff is Account Executive Wendy Barton. Wendy is responsible for assisting businesses with their marketing efforts as well. Wendy primarily works in Nevada, El Dorado Springs, Rich Hill and Butler. She is able to show businesses the best ways to make sure Double K Country listeners hear their message and the value of their products and services. Cara Skaggs serves as the Office Manager/Traffic Director for KNEM/KNMO Radio.  Cara is responsible for the daily office operation of the radio stations and is responsible for the daily scheduling of commercials and programs.  Cara is the first person you'll normally see when coming into the radio station or the first voice you'll hear on the telephone when calling.  To reach Cara by e-mail the address is
