Obituaries

Brandon Dean Lukenbill, Nevada, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 21, at the age of 33. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and no services are planned at this time.

Larry Dean Heitz, of Bronaugh, passed away Saturday, June 17 at his home. He was 73. Arrangements are under the direction of Cheney witt Chapel in Fort Scott and graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 23 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Scott with Military honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Memorials to the Larry Heitz Memorial Fund are suggested and may be left in care of Cheney Witt Chapel.

Margaret Ann "Peg" Miller, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, June 14, at Barton County Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. Arrangements are under direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, at the Oakton United Methodist Church. The family receives friends between six and seven o'clock Thursday evening, June 22, at the Daniel Funeral Home. Memorials to the Jefferson County Christian School are suggested and can be made in care of Daniel Funeral Home.

Robert Gene Lawson, Sheldon, passed away Tuesday, June 20, at his home at the age of 59. Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at FerryFuneral Home with Pastor Jerod Lamb officiating. Burial is planned in the Moore Cemetery. The family receives friends between five and seven o'clock Friday evening, June 23, at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials to Community Outreach, Nevada, are suggested.

Jimmy Wayne Smith, Liberal, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 21. The minister who served several area churches was 79. Services are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar with burial to follow in the Nashville Cemetery.

Thomas Lee Rees, Butler and formerly Hume, passed away Sunday, June 18, at Carthage at the age of 58. A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and a private burial is planned in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill.

Eula "Faye" Hester, of Nevada, passed away Thuesday, June 20 at Barone Alzheimer's Care Center. She was 96. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Contributions to the Baron Alzheimer's Care Center are suggested and can be left in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

David D. Symons, Rich Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 7, at the Butler Medicalodge at the age of 90. A memorial service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, at the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and burial is to be scheduled later at Merced, California.

Brittany Nicole (Burris) Henderson, Nevada, passed away Saturday, June 17, at her home. The El Dorado Springs native was 25. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and service plans are to be announced later.

Raymond J. LeFevre, Mokena, Illinois and formerly Rich Hill, passed away Monday, June 19, at the age of 87. Arrangements are under direction of the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and service plans are to be announce later.

Richard Francis Newcomb, Jr., Schell City, passed away Friday, June 16, at his home. He was 64. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home and no services are planned.
