Obituaries.

Jackie L. Gordon, Nevada, passed away Monday, April 23, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, at the age of 82. Services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at Ferry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Newton Burial Park. The family receives friends between ten and eleven o'clock Saturday morning, April 28, at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials to Vernon County Cancer Relief are suggested.

Euell Lee Beard, Walker, passed away Thursday, April 19, at the age of 92. Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the First Baptist Church in Nevada with Dr. William Cox officiating. Burial is planned in Newton Burial Park. The family receives friends between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the First Baptist Church. Memorials to the First Baptist Church in Nevada are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Randy Lee Van Gilder, Lamar, passed away Tuesday, April 24, at his home. The former plumber and health care provider was 58. Arrangements are under direction of the Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and a private committal service is to be scheduled later. Memorials to the Mary K. Finley Library in Lamar are suggested and can be made in care of Daniel Funeral Home.

Joseph Roy Eaton, El Dorado Springs, passed away Sunday, April 22nd, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs at the age of 86. Services are scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, at the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs with burial to follow in the Clintonville Cemetery.

Vic Wardlow passed away Saturday, April 21st. The Nevada, Mo. native and former owner of a dental lab in the Kansas City area was 77. Arrangements are under direction of the Cheney-Witt Chapel, Fort Scott, and services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Colonial Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, Ks. with burial to follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Memorials either to the Colonial Presbyterian Church of the Kansas City Hospice House are suggested and can be made in care of the Cheney-Witt Chapel.

Johnathon Lee Porter, formerly of Appleton City, passed away Tuesday, May 24, of a fatal gunshot wound at a construction site in Kansas City. He was 23. Arrangements are under direction of the Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appletoh City.
