Opal Irene Fleming, of Joplin and formerly of Nevada, passed away at Tuesday, March 13 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was 91. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17 at Ferry Funeral Home with her son, Brian L. Fleming, officiating. Burial will follow in the Newton Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Ferry Funeral Home.

Herbert "Alan" Hoover, of Nevada, passed away Wednesday, March 14 at Barone Alzheimer's Care Center in Nevada at the age of 80. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, March 19 at Ferry Funeral Home. Contributions to the Alzheimer's Association are suggested and can be left in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Tim Spangler, Stockton, passed away Wednesday, March 14, at the age of 62. Arrangements were under direction of the Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton, and a memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Stockton Christian Church.

Joseph James "One Eyed Joe" Roberts, Stockton, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 10. The son of Lottie Young was 39. Arrangements were under direction of the Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton, and services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, at the Lighthouse Christian Church, Stockton.

Julian David "Rich" Richards passed away Thursday, March 8, at Lubbock, Texas. The El Dorado Springs, Mo. area native was 95. Arrangements were under direction of the Combest Family Funerla Home, Lubbock, Tx., and services were scheduled Friday, March 16, at Lubbock. Memorials to the Dederick, Mo. Christian Church were suggested.

Elizabeth Paulette Swearingen passed away Sunday, March 4 at the age of 69. A celebration of Elizabeth Swearingen's life it obe scheduled later along with a committal in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City.

Max Whitsell Foust, of Leawood, Kan., passed away Wednesday, March 7. The 1945 valedictorian of El Dorado Springs High School and a veteran trial lawyer for over 50 years was 90. Arrangements are under the direction of the McGilley Stateline Chapel in Kansas, Mo. and a private memorial service is to be scheduled later. Memorials to a Max W. Foust Scholarship at the UMKC School of Law in Kansas City are suggested.
