Obituaries

Barbara Ann Rudd, Nevada, passed away Saturday, August 27, at the age of 91. The Sac City, Iowa native lived at Chicago, St. Louis, Heidelberg, Germany and Auburn, Wisconsin before joining her daughter, Dr. Jann Weitzel, at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. and later in Nevada when Dr. Weitzel started her duties as president of Cottey College. Memorial Services are to be scheduled later in Iowa and memorials to the American Cancer Society are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Shania Lee Ashbaker, Sanderson, Texas and Nevada, Mo., passed away Monday, August 20, at her home. The 2014 graduate of Sanderson, Texas High School was 20. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a memorial service is to be scheduled later. A memorial service is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, at Ferry Funeral Home. The family receives friends between five and seven Tuesday evening, August 30, at the funeral home and memorials to a Shania Ashbaker Fund are suggested.

Dale R. Eshelbrenner, a native of Fort Scott and a 25-year tennis coach at Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, passed away Saturday, August 27, at his home. He was 56. A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, at the Second Presbyterian Church of Kansas City with a Celebration of his Life scheduled between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the Indian Hills Country Club. Memorials either to Gilda's Club of Kansas City, the Second Presbyterian Church of teh Eshelbrenner Education Fund are suggested.

Former Missouri State Senator Edward Quick passed away Saturday, August 27, at his home. The Rich Hill, Mo. native was 81. A memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, at the First Baptist Church in North Kansas City, Mo. with a reception to follow. Memorials either to Northland Healthcarer Access, Parkville, Mo., Tri-County Mental Health, Kansas City or the IAFF Local 42 Community Service Fund, Kansas City,are suggested.

Loeta Marie (Haile) Julian, Lamar, passed away Saturday, August 27, at Barton County Memorial Hospital. She was 87. Arrangements are under direction of Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar,
