Obituaries

Donna Mae (Jones) Hulse, Bronaugh, passed away Friday, August 18, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott. The 1960 graduate of Nevada High School and retired Bronaugh postmaster was 74. Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, at Ferry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Nevada's Newton Burial Park. The family receives friends between five and seven o'clock Monday evening, August 21, at Ferry Funeral Home.

Robert "Bob" Robertson, Richards, passed away Wednesday, August 16, at Joplin Healthcare at the age of 91. Arrangements are under direction of the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and a graveside service is scheduled Saturday, September 16, in Nevada's Newton Burial Park. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association are suggested and can be made in care of Heuser Funeral Home.

John Edgar Goodson, Carl Junction, Mo., passed away Thursday, August 17. The 1976 graduate of Fort Scott High School was 59. Services are scheduled at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home in fort Scott with the Reverend Martin Dickinson officiating and burial to follow in the National Cemetery at Fort Scott. The family receives friends between seven and eight o'clock Monday evening, August 21, at Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Memorials to the Wounded Warriors Project are suggested and can be made in care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

Kenneth Dale Wright, Overland Park, Ks., passed away Saturday, August 12, at his home. The former printer at El Dorado Springs and Fort Scott was 80. Arrangements are under direction of the Cheney-Witt Chapel, Fort Scott, and services are planned at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, at the Church of God in Overland Park with burial scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, in Memory Gardens, Fort Scott. Visitation was scheduled between five and seven o'clock Friday evening, August 18, at the Church of God in Overland Park. Memorials to Herald and Banner Press are suggested and can be made in care of the Cheney-Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott.

Richard Mack Button, of El Dorado Springs, passed away Tuesday, August, 1 at his home. He was 74. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sheldon Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs and a memorial service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, at the Church of God Holiness in El Dorado Springs. Memorials to the El Dorado Christian School are suggested.

Linda Sue Hawthorne, Lamar, passed away Saturday, August 12, at Truman Healthcare, Lamar. The former CNA at the Nevada State Hospital was 70. Arrangements are under direction of the Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar and a private service is planned with burial scheduled Saturday, August 19, in the Little Sioux Cemetery at Little Sioux, Iowa.
